The ultra-rare Fears watch

Year produced: 2018
Pieces produced: 5

A limited edition watch, created to commemorate the opening of the first Fears retail store since the 1940s.

The Redcliff “Bee” was based on the popular Redcliff Date model and used the same elegant and slim 38mm round case. Machined from 316L stainless steel in Switzerland, the case had a high polish finish to all surfaces.

Measuring just 8.5mm thin, the Redcliff “Bee” was designed to slip under cuffs easily with its flat sapphire crystal.

Only 5 Redcliff “Bee” watches were made, each numbered on its case back with a special engraving.

The Redcliff “Bee” was characterised by its eye-catching yellow dial. Sporty, yet sophisticated.

Created using a high-gloss yellow lacquer combined with crisp black printing. The Redcliff “Bee” featured the same classic dial layout of the Redcliff Date. With ‘Pipette’ hour filled with Super-LumiNova luminous material to aide reading the watch in the dark. An oversized marker at 3 o’clock drew the eye to the date window it surrounded.

The Redcliff “Bee” used the distinctive ‘Fears’-shaped hands, painted in a deep, gloss black. The hour and minute hands were filled with Super-LumiNova luminous materials to help with reading the time in the dark.

The central seconds hand was painted in black to match the printing and included a micro ‘Pipette’ as its counterbalance.

The Redcliff “Bee” was powered by an all metal, Swiss made, quartz Ronda 515 movement. Supremely accurate and reliable, the Ronda 515 is powered by a mercury-free Swiss made battery.
