MING Polymesh

By MING's own admission, this isn't quite a bracelet nor is it quite a strap...

Their revolutionary Polymesh (a world first) combines both the durability and tactility of metal with the flexible nature of fabric. Produced entirely from grade-5 titanium through additive manufacturing, this unique structure flows like cloth whilst retaining the strength and density of a conventional metal bracelet.

Compatibility

The MING Polymesh - Straight retains the same architecture and manufacturing process as their curved original, but now with conventional straight spring bars.

This allows this MING Polymesh to be fitted to a near-universal range of watches with 20mm lug widths including the entire Fears Brunswick and Redcliff collection (but is not currently compatible with the Fears Arnos).

Construction

At first glance, the MING Polymesh may appear simple but in reality is anything but. The structure is extremely complex and consists of 1,742 interconnected elements that have all been printed simultaneously in grade-5 titanium. 

These elements form an entirely continuous and closed-loop that features no pins, screws or traditional assembly methods (even MING's signature buckle is created during this same process) and the only additional components are the quick-release spring bars.

This would simply not be possible using conventional machining methods, and instead is produced using powder-bed laser sintering - a form of additive manufacturing - in which successive layers of titanium powder are fused together by a laser.

Perfect Fit

The result of this unique structure is it behaves differently from either traditional bracelets or straps. The extremely small links allow the MING Polymesh to conform naturally to your wrist thus achieving their ultimate goal - to combine the strength of a bracelet with the comfort of a strap.

No Tools

Featuring Quick-Release spring bars, this MING Polymesh can be fitted and removed from the watch without tools. This means you can change it over in a matter of moments with no hassle.
